The History Of Bobay Craftsmen

I grew up in a family of Carpenters dating back to the 1800s. When my ancestors (two brothers) who came from France and settled in Ft. Wayne Indiana; our family heritage began their journey.

My father is a local prominent Builder here in Angola, Indiana and his Father & Grandfather were also builders. With the tradition within my family it's not a wonder that I am as talented as well! As a young child I would watch my father create some of the most beautiful woodwork. As I reached the age of 16, I found my first opportunity in the real world as a laborer installing flooring for a local subcontractor.
I quickly set a pace for starting my own floor installing business, which I did create at the age of 19 with a high school friend of mine.

Never Giving Up

In 1982 my partner decided to leave the business and join the military. Becoming a solo business owner and not much cash coming in, proved me for a long haul, but I drove with determination, knowing my dedication would pay off!

By 1985, I could lay any type of floor-ceramic tile, wooden; I really enjoyed because of the way I could customize the jobs. I get the greatest feeling of accomplishment when a customer finds meaning and sentimental value in my work.

In 1995 I finally resided in Angola Indiana, where I built my own new house and wood shop located on a lake. After adding new equipment, I quickly got started in making custom furniture and trim moldings. My imagination catches the eye of everyone who sees. My ideas come to me and I make them happen.

Today, I am actively making my own lumber with local trees, and producing some of the most fascinating custom made furniture available! All my customers can count on the fact that my materials are genuine and guaranteed to last; not just any ole lumber that no one knows where it come from!
